Despite the telescope's initial myoptic problems, its later repair missions corrected the focus difficulties. Now, some of the most breath-taking pictures in the universe are being transmitted by the telescope.
To find out more about HST and the monumental types of research that it is producing, AND to see many more of these pictures, visit the homepage of the (Click here) Space Telescope Science Institute (STSCI)... and enjoy a REAL visit to the far realms of our universe!
All right, I'll admit that I'm infatuated with space... period! Fifty-plus years ago, my dolls didn't play house -- they went to Mars. Because of this obsession, I'm adding this page that will contain visual updates from the Hubble Space Telescope and other viewings into the far reaches of our universe. The most recent pictures and descriptions will be listed first. May this prove to be YOUR window into this wonderful, magical universe of ours!
By the way, the graphics which I have used to illustrate many of my stories and pages are actual images captured by the Hubble Space Telescope (HST), which was launched by NASA in April 1990. You can see these images used in "Voyager"... they are frequently seen as "viewscreen" images on the bridge or in the astrometrics lab.

Weird and wonderful designs from Hubble Space Telescope images.
In this section, I've used a little bit of poetic license to enhance a few of the images from HST. Using Paint Shop Pro, I've put them into a cyber centrifuge and come up with visions of another universe. Check them out!
